Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting

GoTo Meeting has been a useful resource for gathering colleagues in conversation about issues that need a team approach when we aren't able to be together in person.

Pros

  • GoTo Meeting provides an interface that allows colleagues to connect when distant from each other.
  • Virtual conferencing helps colleagues to engage in conversation and address issues beyond the office.
  • Sharing the screen during meetings allows colleagues and presenters to display images, graphics, and projects with ease.
  • Content sharing allows my team to share creative content among eachother.

Cons

  • GoTo Meeting could be more user-friendly for those of us that aren't in the corporate world. I have found that non-techy people are confused by the program.
  • I have used it both on my PC and Ipad. GoTo Meeting is much easier to use on my PC which is frustrating because my Ipad is more portable.
  • I have not had any impact on my business as a result of using GoTo Meeting.
  • It has benefited the organizations that I work with my allowing us to meet from a distance, thus allowing us to grow and expand our offerings.
  • Zoom
Zoom is my preferred meeting product. It is easy to use, integrates with my systems, and allows me to easily connect with even the most non-techy of my clients.

GoTo Meeting seems to be preferred by businesses that are in the corporate realm. I have found that it is not as easy for the general public to use as Zoom, but it offers different options. I have used it when meeting with various organizations to which I belong. The free platform is simple and, generally, easy to use.

Using GoTo Meeting

1 - Gathering to discuss the needs of the company and connecting with team members from a distance. GoTo Meeting is often used when other options are not available. It also provides protections some other meeting apps don't offer. In the case of confidential client information or proprietary discussions, the closed format of the meeting space allows members to discuss things freely.
1 - I am the owner, user and only one who makes the decisions regarding the use of GoTo Meeting as it applies to our company.

We prefer other programs that provide us with the functionality we need including the teaching of classes, playing music and other engaging activities beyond meetings.
