Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting

We use GoTo Meeting to attend webinar workshops or training offered by different programs we use for educating our students. We have not purchased GoTo Meeting, but we often have vendors who use it to promote their products or provide training on their programs. Every teacher can attend at the same time from their own device making it convenient for everyone to attend.

Pros

  • It's easy to use.
  • Allows remote conferencing.
  • The app is free for those you invite to conference with you.
  • It's a secure way to communicate.

Cons

  • You need to keep the app updated.
  • All features may not work on older devices.
  • Doesn't allow chat rooms.
  • Takes a lot of bandwidth.
  • It provides an easy platform for remote communication.
  • We receive quality training from our partner companies.
  • It has high quality video but uses a lot of bandwidth.
  • Google Hangouts Meet and Zoom
We actually use several products. Google Meet for our classroom teachers to use with students because it is cheaper. GoTo Meeting offers a better quality experience but uses more bandwidth. Zoom has some great features that are comparable to GoTo Meeting. Zoom provides a better platform than GoTo Meeting for breakout chat rooms. So, it depends on what you want to accomplish with your remote meetings.

GoTo Meeting works well for businesses or individuals looking for a way to remote conference or share slide presentations. It works with large or small groups of people from different locations who have an updated device and high-quality internet connection. The quality is amazing but it uses a lot of bandwidth so be prepared for that. If you want chat rooms, it's limited so you may not be happy with that.
