Overall Satisfaction with Groove

Everyone has a Groove license and it shows up in our Gmail. It allows us to keep a record of all our emails, get notified when it has been viewed, schedule when emails should be sent, and easily use pre-made email templates made by managers and other teams. It also allows us to do an email campaign if we'd like.

Pros

  • Scheduling emails is very easy and I use it daily to get emails out at the right time.
  • Having templates available made by my management or marketing team helps me save time and get a perfectly crafted message quickly.
  • I like knowing once my email has been viewed so I can schedule a follow up.

Cons

  • It would be great to know if my email was forwarded on to someone else and who that person is.
  • More accurate LinkedIn profiles shared when clicking on an email address.
  • A way to move the Groove button around that is located on the right hand side of my gmail page.
  • It has helped me reach my customers when I need to the most for upsells and renewals.
  • I've been able to send out better crafted emails with templates so replay my message better.
  • Tracking which of my customers are actually engaging with my emails helps me prioritize who to spend my time on, the lowest hanging fruit.
I feel like the two are pretty similar. I don't see much of a difference besides logos and colors to be honest. My company chose to switch to Groove and I wasn't involved in that decision making process so I can't tell you why we chose one over the other. The only thing I can think of is price.
We had a Customer Success Manager from Groove give us a live demo on how to use all the features. I thought she did a great job and was super helpful in answering all our questions. She was thorough and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I've never had to submit a support ticket so I can't speak on that.

I think Groove is great for all users. Everyone wants to know when their email has been viewed and everyone uses templates. I don't see a job title where Groove would not be useful unless you don't ever email. I work with customers all over the world so the scheduling option is fantastic for me. That is one of the strong use cases in my opinion.
