Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

Gusto is used across the organization. Managing the creation of direct deposits and tax filing is a big benefit to us.
  • I like AutoPilot mode where I don't need to actually run payroll.
  • Most of the tax prep and filing is good. They miss a few local forms but are good overall.
  • The UI is clean and useful.
  • Changing from bi-weekly to semi-monthly payroll wasn't smooth. It was confusing and in the end we need to run two correction payrolls.
  • Support is good but slow. It often takes days or over a week to get a response. Got to step that up!
  • Need to get Commuter Benefits supported.
  • Time saved in paying people and managing filings
  • Preventing wasteful effort if a tax form wasn't filed (they take care of all that)
  • Managing benefits is a pain
Zenefits isn't the same but they are trying to compete with each other. Zenefits is terrible. We've moved healthcare over to Gusto because Gusto was already doing a good job and Zenefits had very slow and poor service. I'd get off Zenefits entirely but Gusto doesn't support Commuter Benefits yet.
Might not be great for large companies but it seems like a slam dunk for smaller companies.
