Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

For a while, we were using Microsoft Excel to track our hours, now we use Gusto and it automatically sends our hours straight to our boss.

Pros

  • Time tracking
  • Viewing Pay Stubs

Cons

  • Having a feature that allows you to see your "what-if" hours would be nice. Playing with hours to determine the outcome of a paycheck.
  • It has made it possible to keep track of money, and in turn we have earned the ability to have an IRA for employees.
  • More benefits have been created for the employees since using Gusto.
I think Gusto has been very easy to use so far, my boss is in her 50s and it only took her a couple of weeks to figure out how to set everything up and she began to use it right away. Her employees, including me, have had no problem when it comes to entering in our hours, we end up asking her less questions about our pay stubs because we can print them off ourselves.
Having two different products to use left a lot of room for error and took way too much time. Employees needed to count out their hours themselves and email the hours from Excel over to the boss. Then the Boss had to send the hours over to our book keeper which used quick books. The entire set up was just more difficult, and time consuming.

I think Gusto is really easy to manage for people with smaller businesses, I really have seen the difference in my bosses work load when she switched from her last accountant to now doing Gusto on her own and she loves it. More small business owners should use Gusto because of its user friendly guides.
