Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used Gusto as an employee of another business and a business owner who pays contractors. My contractors submit their hours to Gusto, and I pay them through the platform. Gusto manages their bank information and all the required paperwork for the contractors.

Track the hours for individual projects for billing.

Usability

It has a very clean and intuitive interface, without many unnecessary screens to click through to find what you need.

Alternatives Considered

Paylocity and Square Payroll

I could not understand the logic of these platforms and found myself constantly using the help articles, which were also not that helpful. They were very confusing, and I was often not sure if the things I had been trying to do were actually completed.

Gusto is amazing for small businesses that don't need a ton of bells and whistles. It does have more advanced features if you want them, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to. Everything is pretty intuitive, and the layout is clean.
