Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

we use Gusto to pay our employees, calculate and file taxes, and manage our HR processes

Pros

  • payroll
  • single state tax filing
  • benefits

Cons

  • customer service
  • multi-state tax calcs
  • faster payroll
  • offering benefits
The Gusto platform is quite intuitive. support used to be better in the past
Gusto is better than Square, but more expensive. Worse than Rippling, which is a very advanced offering with a ton of features and customization, but it is more expensive More features than Quickbooks payroll as well and slightly cheaper

Do you think Gusto delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Gusto's feature set?

Yes

Did Gusto live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Gusto go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Gusto again?

Yes

If you are operating a single state business then it is a great piece of software. It is a bit harder with more complicated setups / multi-state as we've had errors with their calculations and filings + their customer service can be slow for compliance issues
