Overall Satisfaction with Harvest

I use Harvest as a sole-trader to ensure I keep track of my projects and time spent. Ensuring that I don't go into overspend unnecessarily.
  • Useful for keeping a list of job numbers
  • Flexibility in roles and fees
  • Overview of monthly spend
  • As a sole user there is no prompt to enter in the time, a feature only available for multiple users.
  • Better functionality for sole users.
  • Would like to view/print a live job list (maybe you can).
  • Easier to keep track of fee/free work so better understanding of efficiency
  • It does take time/commitment to fill in though, so only useful if done regularly.
I looked at many different products at the time, but I liked the way the timesheet and job list worked best on Harvest, the others were trying to be too cool, or too complex.
Probably good for teams, but as I'm finding out, less useful for individuals.

Evaluating Harvest and Competitors

The timesheet page is really good and easy to use. I also liked the job numbering system, which replicates how I'm used to doing things.
Yes, I may not have signed up for a full year package so quickly, as I'm not sure I'm getting full value from the software

Harvest Support

They got back to me quickly, although couldn't resolve my problem due to my subscription level.

I had a query regarding the automatic prompts to fill in time. They got back to me almost straight away but were unable to help. They were nice and friendly, though, and seemed sorry not to be able to resolve the issue.
