Overall Satisfaction with Heap

We use Heap primarily to track links and see which of our platform profiles are getting the most traffic. We use this data to show clients so that they know which of their communication routes are most effective. We also use Heap to compile various statistics of our platform.

Pros

  • Comprehensive tracking
  • Informative dashboard
  • Lots of options

Cons

  • Complicated for new users
  • Not always intuitive when putting together a query
  • Better descriptions of each function
  • Delivering more functionality to clients
  • Provides insights on what works and what doesn’t
  • Helped us learn how to better market our site

Heap is great for tracking custom links that all direct to the same site—this allows experimentation of distribution and marketing of that site. Heap allows you to keep this tracking all in one place with a customizable dashboard. The trouble is that it’s not all that user-friendly for individuals that would like this type of functioning but can’t necessarily learn how to use such an elaborate piece of software. It’s never something one can just pick up within a few minutes.
