Overall Satisfaction with HID DigitalPersona

Cloud Authentication is a major concern and a single failure point for us as we provision a lot of infrastructures on the cloud and without Multi-factor authentication and proper security controls in place, it can lead to data breaches and hackers exploiting vulnerabilities. Our specific use case was to eliminate the usage of shared passwords and simplify login and application access using the Single Sign-on process when accessed within the company's network.
  • Multi factor authentication and SSO
  • Helps organisation meet Compliance needs and for audits purposes
  • Provides both Fingerprint and face scan as MFA mechanism
  • Response time and overall ability to sign on using MFA is relatively slow
  • First time Success rate for MFA has improvement scope
  • Few Missing integrations

Do you think HID DigitalPersona delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with HID DigitalPersona's feature set?

Yes

Did HID DigitalPersona live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of HID DigitalPersona go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy HID DigitalPersona again?

Yes

We have only used Single Sign on and Muti factor authentication for Cloud-based applications using Biometrics (Fingerprints). This has increased the security levels within the org. for Cloud Consoles and lowered the probability of data and privileged user credential loss in case of a breach. I will update the review once we explore the Smart Card-based authentication mechanism, in the near future.
Not used this capability provided by HID DigitalPersona.
Azure-based Cloud Console and admin Login accounts. Applications hosted on the cloud which are very frequently used and require SSO login mechanism by our technical team and Operations users.
Yes, we have leveraged a Biometric based multi-factor authentication mechanism for Azure AD environment.
  • Increased Safety Standard and Security profile of Applications
  • Satisfied auditors during SOC2 review
  • Ease of use for Operations users by having SSO mechanism
I was not involved in the Tool / Solution approach when HID DigitalPersona was adopted but considerations were in terms of scalability once other areas of the organization undergo Cloud transformation.
The second major factor which was compared and debated internally was Long term support cost and recurring billing customization options/ flexibility provided by vendor.
Twingate, Azure Cloud Services, AWS Identity & Access Management
Well suited for Fingerprint-based / face scan-based MF authentication use cases. Best suited for Cloud Admin account consoles, High impact accounts/privileged user access applications where a breach of security can lead to potentially catastrophic outcomes.
