Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

We have used Hootsuite for two years. We have had mixed results and the platform did not accomplish all of the business and marketing objectives we established with the Hootsuite team. While there was probably potential to achieve better performance, the constant change in Account Executives and different representatives for different needs made navigating their corporate support structure nearly impossible. Further, they make canceling the service nearly impossible for Enterprise users by providing no direct contact, no clear path to notifying them of your intent to leave the service, and a 60-day notice requirement otherwise they automatically renew your agreement and threaten to send you to collections. We haven't used the platform in months and they didn't notice, but during that time we have explored other options and have been able to achieve milestones that felt out of reach when saddled with the Hootsuite platform. As Chief Marketing Officer of my organization and a longtime healthcare marketing executive, it is my opinion that their platform and business model do not work in this vertical. The commitment to service leaves much to be desired and their predatory billing practices are outrageous.

Depending on how you use the service and what they sell you on, Hootsuite is subpar. The paid social management through Hootsuite is an option that isn't available in Reputation; however, Meta and other platforms now have improved their ability to do that in a central location and provide decent reporting. That aside, we were too overcome by the negatives of the service to appreciate any positives in the platform.
Absolutely awful. Good luck talking to the same person more than a few times or keeping the same contact for more than a few months. The turnover has been incredible and often we're not even notified. When you ask for assistance, you're largely ignored or made to feel bad for wasting their time.

I am wholly unlikely to ever recommend or utilize Hootsuite again. If your only need is to centralize social media from several pages and platforms into one place, they have a solution for that. That said, it's clunky and not user-friendly. Onboarding new users have been difficult and maintaining good communication with our social media followers using this platform was not easy.
