Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

I use Hootsuite to manage and schedule my social media posts, mostly for Twitter, but also a bit for Linkedin. It makes it easier for me to view my posts and interactions across multiple social media networks. Seeing multiple streams on a single screen enables a more proactive and dynamic engagement with my social media contacts.
  • Multiple streams on a single screen
  • Scheduling posts (albeit only 5 after a recent change)
  • Connecting more than one social media service within a single platform
  • The arbitrary limit of 5 scheduled posts is very frustrating. This limit used to be higher and it seems they lowered it just to get more money
  • Limit on number of accounts that can be hooked up on the free platform
  • Sometimes the stream moves very quickly and there is no way that I have found to halt it so that I can read something before it scrolls off... this is mostly for my Home Twitter stream that tracks posts by those I follow
  • Improved content sharing and planning
  • Reduced time and effort
  • Ease of interaction
  • Since they dropped the free tier I have abandoned Hootsuite
Hootsuite's tabs make the interface easier to view and manage than the TweetDeck approach. I haven't looked at TweetDeck in some time though as I have been satisfied using Hootsuite for at least a decade now. I briefly looked into alternatives to Hootsuite a couple of years ago and I recall there being several alternatives, such as SocialBee, that seem to be more geared for usage by advertising agencies. Many of them did not have a free option like Hootsuite does. So I am a long-term, happy Hootsuite user.

Do you think Hootsuite delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Hootsuite's feature set?

Yes

Did Hootsuite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Hootsuite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Hootsuite again?

Yes

I find it very well-suited for tracking a small number of social media accounts. Viewing streams that show, for example, my Twitter Home, Followers, Posts, Likes, Retweets, and scheduled posts - all on one screen - simplifies social media management. I run a small business though, so I can envision where the free version of Hootsuite might not be sufficient for a large organization with a lot of social media accounts, users, and activity. That said, I would be lost without Hootsuite for my basic social media interactions.

Hootsuite Support

I have had no reason to call for support. Which is amazing when you think of how long I have been using the product. At times, Hootsuite will push a message about issues (such as connectivity to a particular social media platform being impacted) and that makes it easy to understand and deal with inevitable issues.
