Overall Satisfaction with Hubstaff

In our organization we use Hubstaff to track the staff's working time. We all work remotely and this is the way the organization found to pay for the staff's work and also make sure everyone is actually working during their shift.

Pros

  • keep count of the staff's working hours
  • take screenshots of the staff's screen
  • create report of the working hours separating by projects

Cons

  • Sometimes there's a slight delay when someone stops recording the monitor, causing it to take a screenshot of something not work related just because it took a screenshot not exactly when the user hit the stop timer button.
  • It has the ability to send a report at the end of the week, it would be usefull if it also sent you a total per project, to avoid going inside the site to just check for that in case you need to make an invoice.
  • Not sure about this question. Maybe I'm not the best suited person to answer.
It's easy to use, you don't even know it's there, the screenshots are not disruptive. From the employee's side, it also helps you create an invoice with the hours you've worked on. The website is also easy to navigate.

Hubstaff is well suited when project managers want to know if their remote paid-per-hour employees are ACTUALLY working. The screenshots allow you to see if they are indeed working or not. If the employee is involved in a lot of meetings though, maybe it's not the best option, 'cause the idle time won't be counted UNLESS you made adjustments after you get a pop up.

Using Hubstaff

10 - We are a remote team, and Hubstaff allows us to work and track our working hours. This serves 2 purposes: 1, the PM makes sure we are actually working and 2, we use the tracked time to make our invoices and bill the company. We are paid by the hour.

I installed a second monitor and wanted to make sure both screens were being recorded. I couldn't do it on my own but they helped me in no time.

Hubstaff Reliability

I've never had any issues and always received proper support. They let you know in advance when they'll be in maintenance and it's always in odd hours, so it's good. You still can use it when they are maintaining it.
I've never had any issues. It loads correctly and works like a charm.
