In my experience Insightly is unintuitive and inefficient.

Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

My team uses Insightly to track leads and opportunities for existing clients. We have integrated Insightly with our CMS to automatically generate leads and apps based on actions taken by our users onsite.

Pros

  • I honestly can't think of anything that Insightly does exceptionally well, but the lead flow is the most intuitive and functional in terms of the functionalities.

Cons

  • Honestly, my predominant feedback is that the whole system is complicated to use and unintuitive.
  • If I had to narrow it down, I would change the system so the names don't match. We had dozens of records attached because it turns out more than one person can have the same name.
  • Make it easy to access & share information from record to record. I am constantly re-entering information.
  • Search doesnt work well, especially in the app. If I enter the email address associated with an opportunity, it doesn't find it.
  • I can't really accomplish much of anything in the app. Changing filters, bulk updating records. If this is possible, it's impossible to find the functionality.
  • I feel that Images in email templates are distorted.
  • Transfer of information between Insightly & Insightly marketing has been unreliable and unintuitive.
  • Bulk uploads of leads/contacts are extremely difficult. Why would I not be able to match on email? I have to upload a file, wait for the email that gives me the user's Insightly record ID, copy and paste that into a CSV, split text into columns to get the correct record ID, and then re-upload.
  • Because of the name matching, I find it's tough to identify and correct duplicate records.
  • Admin updates are hard to make-- I feel they are unintuitive to find where the record inputs are and where to update them.
  • No ability to send an email from a task.
  • My team would be more successful with a product that gave better insights, integrated more efficiently with our platform, and made processes faster and more intuitive rather than clunky and onerous.
See feedback above-- I do not find that Insightly meets or exceeds expectations on the basic functionality I would want in a CRM as a manager of a sales team.
Insightly makes it harder for my team to optimize workflows and performance. My team does not like to use it because it has not been an effective tool for providing insights into our clients, and it seems to make every step in our processes harder rather than easier. I do not like it as a manager because it does not make it easy for me to assess my team's performance or improve their work processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
I did not select Insightly; my executive team selected Insightly. I would rate Insightly below any other CRM or marketing platform I've used based on its inefficiencies, lack of intuitive work processes, poorly functioning mobile app, and even the design, which is not appealing to my day-to-day workflow.
