Overall Satisfaction with Intuit Mailchimp

We utilize Intuit Mailchimp at our pet supply store for monthly emails and weekly text messaging. We found that not all of our customers are on social media, but do still have email. Our monthly email notifies them of our monthly specials and upcoming events. The text messaging is perfect for announcing unexpected closings due to weather, upcoming events, and specials as well.

Pros

Cons

  • Personally, a few more characters on text messaging would help
  • More help with spacing and editing on emails
  • Other services like geofencing?
  • It has allowed us to get information on our monthly promotions out to more people, especially since before we were only posting them on social media.
  • Customers have been eager to sign up for texting and emails since we do have so many manufacturer specials.
  • The email allows for visual identification of our monthly specials as opposed to us just posting a list. Brand recognition with pictures has been a huge benefit.

After many years of not having an email list, utilizing this service again has been so beneficial to us. There are lots of places where our customers can shop, so whatever we can do to educate and offer those specials we need to take advantage of that.
The SMS has really helped get the word out to our customers, reminding them of our monthly specials and special events. Not all of our customers are on social media and what we do here at the store changes monthly and is very dynamic, so having something that can be sent out quickly and efficiently has helped us a lot.
Intuit Mailchimp has been right there with us. As we continue to grow, there are more things we can add from Intuit Mailchimp to help us.
For what we use it for, it's been so easy. And I'm sure if we used more of it's capabilities, we would say the same thing.
It's been years since I used Hootsuite and I used it to schedule posts on our social media channels. I do not need to use Intuit Mailchimp for this.

In our small town (40,000 residents), I think small businesses like ours really benefit from Intuit Mailchimp due to the fact that information can be sent out easily and inexpensively. We do not have many forms of affordable advertising besides social media here. The television station is overpriced and the demographic that we need to appeal to doesn't want network television. Small businesses can rely on Intuit Mailchimp to advertise in-store specials, special events, and special hours easily.
