Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro
We use Jamf Pro to deploy and manage all of our Apple products. We are a 90% Apple shop so all of our End Users are on Apple products. Jamf allows users to deploy and manage the equipment with a click of the mouse.
- Software distribution
- Locking out computers for compliance
- Helps with current inventory
- Self Service and the integration with the Apple Apple store has it's issues.
- Self Service banner does not scale.
- A built in script editor would be nice.
- Auto Enroll of new equipment
- Remote deployment of software
- Lock out of machines if needed.
- Allows for quicker deployment of equipment
- Insures all of the base software is installed from day one.
- Allows for encryption and stores the escrow keys.
I felt Jamf was a better choice. Partly because I had used it before but also they have JamfNation which is the best way to learn and troubleshoot issues you might be having.

No, at the time we don't need it.
Couldn't figure out why the system went down. Turned out a certificate had expired and the notice that it was going to expire went to spam and never saw it. They had us back up and running in minutes.
