In a saturated market, Join.me stands out with personalization options
Overall Satisfaction with Join.me
Join.me is used by the new business sales team in conjunction with DocSend. DocSend is a system we implemented to share a deck with prospects on a live call, but come to find out after signing the contract that DocSend doesn't actually have audio-conferencing built in, so we had to add the Join.me integration for this. Join.me allows us to have an audio conference line and to share my screen.
Pros
- Join.me has a lot of personalization touches I haven't seen in a lot of other audio conferencing software. It allows you to have a personalized background for viewers to see while they are waiting for you to share your screen which I like.
- Join.me makes it easy to add international dial-in numbers which has come in handy when working on a global level.
- Join.me's audio quality is pretty good- it occasionally will drop people from a call, but I don't think this happens any more often than any other conferencing software.
Cons
- We use Join.me in conjunction with DocSend- this integration is very poor and only works 2/3rds of the time. When I am using DocSend and I push the button to switch to the Join.me screenshare the load time is very slow and it's always and awkward waiting time on a call for the screen to switch.
- Oftentimes when I switch my screen the attendee says all they see is the loading screen, not what I'm sharing. We then have to spend 5 min troubleshooting and trying to get it to work.
- The audio conferencing will occasionally drop people randomly, though I wouldn't say this happens any more so than any other conferencing vendor.
- Join.me is a great tool for audio conferencing with a big group of people.
- Join.me allows me to control which window on my screen I want to share as opposed to just showing my entire screen like some other tools do.
- Join.me has proven to be very unreliable when used in conjunction with DocSend and leads to very awkward demo situations when I haven't been able to get it to work and my attendees aren't able to see my screen.
- GoToMeeting, Zoom and ClearSlide
We ended up using Join.me by default when we learned that DocSend did not have audioconferencing built in. We use it via their integration and the experience has not been great. On it's own I'm guessing it works a lot better. Over all the other audio conferencing solutions I've used in the past I really like the customization that Join.me offers. I realize it's not that big of a deal, but I think adding in some personality to your meeting room humanizes you as a sales rep, so that's a nice touch.
