Overall Satisfaction with JotForm

We are using JotForm in order to collect the work orders from our customers and sign the contract online with them, in case they cannot come to sign the contract in person. Especially orders that are place from out of state are processed via JotForm.
We also use JotForm to create a database with names and contacts in order to be able to send congratulation cards, Holiday cards, Christmas gifts to our customers.

Pros

  • It is easy to use, as a platform.
  • It is easy to access the collected information.
  • It is easy to import information to mailing lists.

Cons

  • Platform is not exceptionally flexible - for instance, it is quite a lengthy process to set up holiday days when customers cannot book with us. It's a chain of clicks, rather, than just a few, direct steps.
  • The customer service is almost impossible to reach. You need to contact them via FB exclusively, otherwise they don't have a phone number or e-mail address for contact.
  • If you don't add to your form the option for customers to agree with JotForm terms and services, JotForm will pull down your forms without notifying you that it is mandatory that you add those fields, or that they're pulling the forms down. Me no likey.
  • After implementing JotForm, I was able to work remotely, which helped a lot during the pandemic and during extended holidays for medical reasons.
  • The price is quite high, but it is a fairly stable platform. We do feel it in the budget, but it has great advantages.
  • The team has access to the info from different terminals, which helps communication between the office and the shop.
SurveyMonkey has a very limited number of questions that you can ask in a survey for the free version. As opposed to that, JotForm has unlimited questions, but it limits the number of forms that can be filled annually for free. Overall, it is definitely worth using the free JotForm over SurveyMonkey. You have way more flexibility and way fewer restrictions with JotForm. If you are purchasing a plan, like we did after our free forms have been used in less than a year, even so, JotForm is a more user-friendly platform that Survey Monkey.

123Form Builder actually has very easily reachable support team, which JotForm doesn't have. But they have made a few features, like setting up the holiday schedule or bookings super weird. They are unnaturally complicated. JotForm is not great at this either, but it is way more flexible on building a custom schedule.

Do you think Jotform delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Jotform's feature set?

Yes

Did Jotform live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Jotform go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Jotform again?

Yes

I only give 8/10 because it is not the best value (quite pricey!), and they could improve customer service and optimize the custom schedule setup/bookings setup. There is definitely room for improvement especially when it comes to communication with paying customers, although since they offer an extensive free version as well, it would be nice if both free and paying users would have some support. After all, most paying customers start with a free plan, I imagine...
They're terribly hard to reach, whether you have a paid plan or a free plan.
It's not that you need a lot of support, I only needed it once in about 3 years, but when you need it and you can't reach them for weeks, it's very inconvenient.
I tried to reach them for one particular problem, and the only way to communicate with them was via Facebook, so I had to use my private account for business issues, which I hate. And in case you don't have a FB account, you won't be able to reach them at all.
If you need HIPAA approved forms, JotForm does offer this option but it is pricey. There are cheaper options out there, which are equally easy to use.

If you need to collect data from customers easy, for instance, if you open a shop or a bakery and are interested in conducting surveys or collecting simple work order information, JotForm will do. The free version of JotForm will perform better than the free SurveyMonkey option at the date of my review.

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. That's so much appreciated. To clarify some of your cons, 1. We already have an Appointment field with a vast of features, it's so much easier to set up a booking form now. Here's a short video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bc9g-jjcrXk that will help you get started. Please give it a try and let us know if you have any questions. 2. We provide 24/7 support in our support system. You can open support tickets by contacting us through our support contact form here https://www.jotform.com/contact/. You can also contact us via email at support[at]jotform[dot]com. 3. Adding terms and conditions into your form is no longer necessary for some of the sensitive information you may ask in your form like SSN, IDs and etc. We have stopped this a year ago. However, collecting credit card information and other sensitive information like login credentials is still extremely prohibited. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us at https://www.jotform.com/contact/ so we can help. Have a good one! Regards, Elton JotForm Support

Hi Elton, 1. Yes, you do have an appointment field, but it is not as flexible or as easy to use as it could be. 2. No one answered to my messages via the methods you mention. The only answer I got was via Facebook, and the individual I connected with said that FB is currently the only way you guys take messages. 3. Our forms never asked for sensitive info like SSN, IDs, etc. There were no credit card information required either. The cons are not clarified, in my opinion, and these are some of the main reasons why I am still looking for an alternative platform.

    1. Thanks for your feedback. If you have difficulties with the appointment field or if you have any suggestions that would help improve the tool, let us know at https://www.jotform.com/contact/ so I can escalate them to our devs. 2. I can assure you that we never leave questions in our support inbox. If you can provide the ticket URL of your questions, I can check who attended to it. 3. Perhaps there was other sensitive information that triggers our phishing filter. If you can provide the form URL in question, I can provide you more details. Regards!

So here's the thing. You can either accept my constructive criticism and improve your tools, or you can keep arguing with me online. Not to mention, none of my reviews were meant for JotForm, they were meant for the other users. The fact that you keep arguing online and you're basically trying to "deny" my opinion as a user, shows just how unqualified you are for the position you have. There was no URL ticket, there was only a FB conversation, because I have never received any answers from you guys when I contacted you multiple times via your support inbox. After not getting any answers via the support inbox, I finally contacted you via messenger on 7/13/20, 1:22 PM. And here is a copy of the conversation that I had with someone on your team, who didn't introduce themselves and din't give me any ticket: _________________________________________________ Hi JotForm, I have a question regarding my Jotform account. It has been pulled down and locked because the questions that were asked needed to be HIPPA compliant ad I did not use the HIPPA compliant forms. I would like my account to be unlocked and for you to move my forms in the HIPPA compliant section. You sent July 14, 2020 I contacted your support team twice via the online form and I got no reply in over 2 weeks. You sent July 14, 2020 This is a really poor practice. No one even told me why the account was blocked, I had to spend hours and do research to figure out why on Earth you guys would block my account! You sent July 14, 2020 Very unprofessional. JotForm - Easiest Form Builder sent July 14, 2020 We do apologize for the inconvenience. I have checked your account and it seems it was auto suspended by our phishing detector. I have checked your form fields but I can't seem to find any fields that would violate our terms of use. I have lifted the suspension in your account. I would also recommend that you add these two widgets in your forms: 1. Add the Terms & Conditions Widget (or the Short Scrollable Terms Widget) for your users to read and agree. https://www.jotform.com/widgets/terms-and-condition 2. Add a Signature Widget so your users can sign and agree to provide such sensitive information https://www.jotform.com/widgets/signature XMA Header Image Terms & Conditions - Form Widgets | JotForm jotform.com You sent July 14, 2020 Thank you. Please refrain from contacting me further, because honestly, this is not worth my time.

My sincerest apologies if you feel offended. I didn't mean to argue with you here and never will. My goal is to try to help you as much as I could. Anyway, your chat log shows it was already resolved last year. Just FYI, we are no longer suggesting the terms widgets so that won't happen again. Feel free to contact us wherever you feel comfortable, either on Facebook, support system through our contact form https://www.jotform.com/contact/, live chat, or via email at support[at]jotform[dot]com. We'd be happy to help. Thank you!

Yes, well, it was resolved after an unreasonable amount of effort that I've put in it. So, per my review, your support is NOT great. So stop trying to prove that it is great, and make me come across as a liar, because you could improve your support. My review is accurate and objective, and I believe this interaction had proven other readers as well that there are issues that JotForm needs to work on.
