Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
We use KnowBe4 as our staff training programme. We set up monthly phishing test as our aim is to have 0% click-throughs. Every quarter (3 monthly), we set-up modules for all staff to complete. The modules for each training depends on the topical issue at the time. Game modules are particularly well received. Staff have found the training to be useful not only in doing their day-to-day tasks but also out side of work.
Pros
- Comprehensive Content: KnowBe4 offers a wide range of content covering various aspects of cybersecurity, including phishing attacks, social engineering, malware threats, and more. The training modules are designed to be comprehensive and address different facets of security awareness.
- Interactive Learning: KnowBe4 incorporates interactive elements into its training, making the learning experience engaging and memorable. Interactive formats, such as quizzes, games, and interactive scenarios, enhance staff participation and knowledge retention.
- Customization Options: KnowBe4 offers customisation options, allowing us to tailor our training content to our specific needs. This adaptability ensures that the training aligns with our organisation's security risks and requirements.
Cons
- The ability to control the phishing test mail headers on KnowBe4 that obviously identify them as coming from KnowBe4 and it makes these tests easy to circumvent. It is trivially easy to just make an outlook rule for "If mail header contains word 'KnowBe4' -> move to spam" and users never have to deal with these ever again.
- Easier to change campaign dates/duration without having the need to create a new one if an existing campaign is set to run at a particular period.
- Improved compliance - we are ISO 27001 certified and need to show we do have an on-going training programme.
- Awareness - our staff are now really aware of what to look for and are very vigilant.
- Reduction is security incidents
We are now able to have a structured training programme. The availability of fresh training content can have several positive impacts on a security awareness training program: - engagement and relevance. - adaptability to emerging threats. - continuous improvement. - customisation.
- Creating, updating, and deleting user accounts. - Creating training programmes (choosing topics for training). - Assigning training modules to specific users or groups. - Monitoring user progress and performance.
- Phishing click-throughs - Percentage participating in training. We report this to the Board on a monthly basis.
We have not used or evaluated any other product. But from what we understand, KnowBe4 has a more comprehensive content.

Our subscription does not include this but we have been shown what content is available. We find that since most of the content is Australia specific and not too much NZ related, we have declined to subscribe. Our current membership already meets
our needs and supports our compliance processes well. We may consider this later.

It is great. You spend less time trying to find the right training and everything is all in one place. There are many to choose from. Now that we know we have
developer-specific topics in our current subscription, we feel sufficiently covered and won’t be looking to
incorporate Compliance Plus further at this stage.

It is not a huge increase in price to include the Compliance Plus product. However, since the product available to us are mainly Australia focus, we don't find this add further value to what we already subscribe to. We are a New Zealand based company, with a small branch in Australia, so prefer to have something that is more generic to both countries.

We're currently unsure, as we haven’t done any further research into this. However, based on what we do know, KnowBe4 appears to offer a more comprehensive training library than other providers we've come across. That said, we haven’t yet compared this in detail with other options, especially in terms of relevance to both New Zealand and Australia.
