Overall Satisfaction with LastPass for Business

We use a lot of SaaS products and want to stay secure. Using a password manager is a no-brainer for an organization to manage access to all the SaaS products they use and make sure that only the relevant people have access to sensitive credentials. LastPass for Business lets us do all of that pretty easily and more.

Pros

  • Manage users and access
  • Group users into groups
  • Giving users access to credentials without revealing the passwords.

Cons

  • The UI is buggy and slushish at times
  • UI is very outdated and the UX could be improved
  • Folders concept can be improved
  • No more password reuse
  • MFA turned on wherever possible since it's easier to use now
LastPass has a CLI, which was a must for us. Also, it was cheaper than 1Password and met our requirements. 1Password might be better, and maybe would've even been better for us in retrospect, but we were already familiar with LastPass from personal experience so it also made sense to go with it.
We didn't grow much as a business while using it, so I can't say too much about this aspect. However, I'm missing more fine-grained control, which would make it much more usable for scaling organizations. For E.g. it has no concept of RBAC, which is invaluable for large organizations.

I haven't used their support.
A great solution for small-ish companies. I'd say 50 people is easy I'll manage. I think more than that would be much harder as I didn't find a way to manage hierarchies and give users multiple roles. In addition, organizations tax rely on SSO for most of their SaaS usages wouldn't gain much from LastPass in my opinion.
