Overall Satisfaction with Litmos

We utilize Litmos for:
1. Internal training programs specific to role (in our industry: Sales & Delivery) - Learning path programs that pair with in-person training and weekly actions to prepare the person for role or improve them in their role.
2. Technology/Practice/Account specific training - Typically courses created for a specific group to educate on a topic needed for that group, usually around a technology, practice area, or client account.
3. Annual company security - Course mandatory annually for our strict security standards.
4. DEI - Core DEI learning path for all internal employees plus annual DEI focus courses.
5. Tool training - When new tools are added or changes are made we utilize courses along with virtual training to educate the tool users.

Pros

  • Content Authoring Tool

Cons

  • CSM Changes - have had multiple CSMs
  • Easier theme/branding without coding
  • Ability to make small CAT changes without it making the learner take the module again - when you republish there is no option to remove the need to take again and people can't utilize the review mode because a simple change
  • Ability to create templates from full modules and courses not just module pages
  • Improvement in reporting
  • We have not done a proper dive into ROI
We selected Litmos in 2018 against My Trailhead from Salesforce. Litmos won out because My Trailhead was not well built out at the time and the Litmos sales team was good. We have always evaluated over the years with Absorb, MindTickle, etc. and have elected to keep Litmos. We recently brought on Highspot as an Enablement tool and compared other enablement tools at the time.

Would you buy Litmos again?

Yes

I think for us specifically, we needed more user training during implementation and even now could continue with user education of the platform. Because we have had some people who do not like the user experience of Litmos.
We implemented a while ago in 2018/2019, so even though the implementation was good at that point, so many things have changed that to get the system and usage where we want it, we need a revamp.
Litmos is good where a true LMS and authoring tool is needed. Litmos is not an enablement tool.
