Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
I run our email program at Lurie Children's. I use Litmus on every email I send, so it is used across the organization. I support many departments and Litmus helps to make sure our emails are rendering correctly, links work, tracking works, and now, the new accessibility review is great too. We wouldn't be able to send email without Litmus.
- Email testing across almost all of the major email clients.
- Builder product that lets you build and test emails in the software.
- Analytics tracking code to see what device an email is being opened on and how long recipients are reading the email.
- So easy to test our ESP.
- It would be really great if their Proof product could be available on other plans.
- It isn't the easiest to get Litmus certified.
- Some of the navigation, once logged in, isn't as intuitive as it could be.
- The login screen opens a new window which is a bit annoying.
- I used to manually test emails across all the clients. The ability to test across all the email clients alone makes Litmus worth it.
- The ability to share those test emails easily with others in the organization is really helpful as well.
- Also, it is great to know what devices our recipients are opening on. This way if there is a small issue on a specific email client and I have a small set of our list that receives to that client, I don't have to spend countless hours to get it exactly right.
We use Blackbaud Luminate and Constant Contact, and cannot integrate Litmus with either of them.
I provide this data to each of my requestors and they are used, but not as much as I hoped they would be used. It would be great to have some time to dig into this more because it is valuable data.
We do not have access to Proof.
- 250ok and Email on Acid
At the time we selected Litmus, we liked the functionality and interface better than Email on Acid, which was about 7-8 years ago now. We almost switched to 250ok this year because they have the same email preview functionality as Litmus and have spam trap/blacklist/list review capabilities. We will continue to evaluate both software going forward.
