We use it for quality control, checking our email designs across platforms, basic analytics to get a picture of our audiences, and following Litmus for best practices in general.

Litmus rises to the top for the education they provide with blog posts, newsletters, and webinars. Can't beat that value - I've learned so much from them about email design.

Great for organizations that send a lot of emails to a diverse audience, but can be very expensive if you do not have a high volume of emails to QA. Really helpful to see all the different renderings across ESPs.
