Overall Satisfaction with Litmus

We use Litmus to test email templates built across many email clients (Outlook, IOS, Gmail...). We want to make sure out templates render well in every email client so we use Litmus constantly. We also love the idea of sharing proof links with clients so they can give their feedback quickly.
  • It provides public links to share works with clients
  • You can set up sub accounts so you can organize your projects
  • We can send different versions of the same email to update status of emails
  • Litmus sometimes won't render pre-headers from emails
  • The shareable proof links expire after 30 days. I wish it could be at least 60
  • The integration with ESPs do not work so great
  • Save time and money using Litmus to test emails instead of having those email clients installed on your local environment
  • We can track the percentage of devices using or opening emails using the Litmus track feature which is positive for marketing
  • We reduced our email review cycles in 80% using Litmus
I don't have this visibility at my company, unfortunately. I do collect some metrics when a client ask us to do so or one of the colleagues that are marketing strategists. But to be honest, as a developer I don't know or understand how they use those metrics to to convince clients or to enhance campaigns
We use pretty much all features that Litmus proof provide us, since comments, approvals, feedback, the sharable links that we can create for internal testing or even for final clients. We can also do some fixes on the emails themselves within the platform and get back to client in a couple of minutes.
I could describe a bunch of differences and improvements Litmus has that Email on Acid do not like email versions (Email on Acid you can only send new emails, not updated versions of the same email). Their code editor is not as great as Litmus' code editor and you can not have subaccounts set up on Email on Acid

Do you think Litmus delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Litmus's feature set?

Yes

Did Litmus live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Litmus go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Litmus again?

Yes

It is very well suited for QA test scenarios, especially when the great majority of your clients use the Outlook versions ( for example Outlook 16, 19, 365...) we have to make sure that the emails will render well on those different email clients, as well as the dark mode emails
