Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
We need to be able to check email rendering in different mailboxes, and share the email with stakeholders so they can leave comments easily on what they approve/would like to change about the email. This also gives us a chance to check that the email fits in the formatting we want and isn't too long or short.
Pros
- leave comments and feedback
- email rendering in different mailboxes
- sending proof tests to our inboxes
- linking up to Iterable to send tests to and from
Cons
- Finding the emails organised
- Sorting the folders
- Dark mode doesn't work properly
- positive: saves time in creating a shareable format for all stakeholders
- positive: provides a clearer understanding of what the email looked like and an archive of the design
I wouldn't say that is has helped us shape the marketing strategy. Litmus is more used for our BAU comms or general marketing comms, and not ones that lean into the bigger strategy. For the bigger long term marketing strategies, we use platforms like Figma as you can have side by side variations of the same email and it's the same when it comes to stakeholders leaving comments. So Litmus doesn't shape our strategy and is used purely to check the basic comms formatting, layout, design, etc.
We haven't used any Litmus Personalise features as many of the features we implement within our CRM ESP (Iterable). We use handlebars in Iterable as this is where all of our customer data is kept so it is easier to create dynamic or personalised features through this platform rather than using Litmus' features.
