Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue
I use LogMeIn Rescue to provide immediate technical support for construction customers worldwide when they report a plant down situation. The scope of my use is for accessing host servers and clients separated thousands of miles away in order to re-establish their connectivity and features. I also work together in hand with IT Departments for network permissions.
Pros
- Remote access
- File Management
- PC detailing
Cons
- Allowing full remote control after switching to Windows
- Letting last al least an hour the 6-digit pin codes
- Showing a little popup when the machines have 2 or more screens to select instead of the button menu
- Reduction of 40-70% of the interaction time with customers
- File transfer speed up by 20-30%
- Monitoring management improvements for metrics
The level of encryption the solution manages does make an impact to prevent the entry of unauthorized people at any time. And for the end user the use of a simple 6-digit pin code prevents interactions and access permissions from becoming complicated when there are firewall or VPN restrictions in between.
Because as a former end user from different companies I used to work, I got frustrated many times when I needed helpdesk support without the proper tools for it.
Truth be told, Rescue is the first and so far only solution from LogMeIn I started to use. However since it offers a wide range of tools specifically designed for remote support, it is highly effective for resolving technical issues. Additionally, Rescue provides various connection methods and customizable interfaces, allowing support teams like mine to tailor the experience to specific needs.
