Mailchimp Great Product for Email Marketing Needs
Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp primarily to communicate with our constituent base. We only use the email functionality, not the texting at this point. We use Mailchimp to track open and click rates. We also use an API key to connect to our database, Little Green Light.
Pros
- Tagging/audience segmentation
- Designing/building emails
- Ability to save templates
- Reporting and Metric Tracking
Cons
- Clearer differentiation between tags and segments
- Ability to find contacts/audience easier
- Time savings for sure to be able to host templates in one place and check performance
- Increased fundraising efforts thanks to donate button linked to giving page
- The ability to link to our CRM via an API key was also super helpful and cut down on manual uploads
I can see the strategic impact in the ability to choose funnels, save brand info, and segment audiences.
Bonterra Development and Digital was much more robust and expensive than what we needed for an email marketing tool. Plus we already had Little Green Light for our database and with the API everything connects and a new/different database wasn’t needed.
