Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams
We used Microsoft Teams almost exclusively to teach classes during the pandemic. We also continue to use it for faculty and training meetings as we are just getting back to campus. I anticipate we will continue to use it for meetings because we have some faculty who are not in our college town. I also hope the administration continues to use it for training because I don't want to have to go to another all-day training meeting with a rubber chicken lunch.
- Scheduling - it's easy to integrate your meetings in Outlook
- Invitations - Since everyone in our organization is on Outlook, it's really easy to invite someone to a meeting and make sure it appears on their calendar
- Chat room / file sharing - it's easy to add files and links to the chatroom
- The Chat Room - sometimes it's hard to find. The room sometimes seems disconnected from the meeting you are in. I like that it archives them, but it can be hard to find things in an archived chat room.
- Cameras / Microphones - I wish it was more flexible in the kinds of cameras you can use. I'd love it you could include multiple cameras or to include video overlays more easily.
- Scheduling outside your organization - Yes, I know you can just email someone to add them, but it doesn't work with Outlook and sometimes, the meeting doesn't get added to their calendar.

- Integration with Outlook
- WIthout it, I don't think we would have been able to teach classes
- It also made organizing students and faculty easy.
- I hope that it was included as part of our Microsoft package, so I think it was cost effective.
- It was not great at bringing in people outside the organization who didn't have Microsoft Teams.
I've used Zoom a lot personally and at my church. It does some things, such as breakout rooms and invitiations, much better. However, it's not good at integrating with calendars, so for that, I like Microsoft Teams better.
I've also used Skype a lot, but I don't use it any longer now that Microsoft Teams and Zoom exist. I know Microsoft bought Skype, so I wonder if they don't support it anymore because they focus on Microsoft Teams. I wish Microsoft Teams integrated better with streaming software such as OBS or made the webinar format more accessible. I'd also like to be able to use it to switch between different cameras, audio sources and perspectives.
