Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We have Teamed as part of Microsoft Office 365 suite, we have been using it since Microsoft added it to our Office 365 subscription, about two years ago. Teams [are] being used company-wide at our organization, and it's been a useful communication tool, I think Microsoft added it [at] the right time when we were in the middle of the covid pandemic where many people were working from home. We have switched our meetings and communications from Skype to Teams as Teams were much easier to use and have more collaboration features than Skype.
  • Online meeting is easier to setup and join, and video conference is better in quality.
  • Teams have channels [that] divide the groups and each group communicates and shares on their group, this is a more organized way to communicate.
  • Teams integrates well with the rest of office 365 tools, such as One-Drive
  • In my experience, the most annoying thing in Teams is when you want to set up your audio input and output before the conference calls, especially if you have more than one audio option, such as external speakers and a headset.
  • As an administrator, I see that Teams have good security policies, but these policies bring some complexity, for instance, if one user in our company needs to share some resources with [another] party outside our domain, he can not do so, until the admin allows it.
  • Teams integrate well in the Microsoft environment, but outside of that, you would find that you have limited usage.
  • Video conference
  • File sharing
  • Instant messaging
  • As I mention before Teams [have] been [launched at] the best time to facilitate the work from the home state for many users.
  • I believe Teams has a positive impact on our overall business as it facilitates communication and collaboration within our company and with external parties as well.
  • Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and now part of Microsoft Teams
Compared to Skype, Microsoft Teams have more features for communications and collaboration, such as the channels, and manage file sharing better than Skype, Teams feels like it's designed with the large organization's needs in mind, like hosting a video conference with hundreds of peoples at the same time, it also has much better video conference quality than Skype.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

As I mentioned before Teams [are] well integrated with Microsoft apps, thus it should be well suited in the Microsoft environment, if you have a Microsoft office 365 subscription then you will likely have a version of Teams. I believe Teams would also be suited for large organizations in general, or if you need a user-friendly and easy-to-use video conference and collaboration tool.
