Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams
We use Microsoft Teams for team communication (IM, channels) and meetings - its primary function it fills in our organization. However, Microsoft Teams is highly integrated in all everyday tasks, particularly in file management. We utilize the ability to make team channels to segregate files among certain teams both internally and externally. All files typically are also synced with Teams' integration of OneDrive and Sharepoint.
- Virtual meetings seamlessly integrated with outlook
- Messaging channels for individual teams
- File management within restricted teams
- Large meetings with breakouts (breakout rooms are static, cannot move attendees between rooms)
- Easier ability to invite external vendors to team channels
- UI for file viewing (i.e. open in another window)
- Virtual meetings
- File management
- Team chat
- Increases efficiency of our teams
- Reduces need for other file management solutions
- Reduced cost of meetings (virtual meetings vs large in person)
- Slack and Zoom
Teams has very similar virtual meeting capabilities to Zoom, however it can sometimes lack in connectivity reliability compared to Zoom. It also lacks some key features vs. Zoom, such as the ability to manage breakout rooms multiple times in the same meeting invite.
Compared to Slack - the teams channels are more rudimentary. Less customizability, less chat history, slower response time.
