Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Virtually all communication in my organization is handled via Microsoft Teams & Outlook. It allows us to quickly reach one another to get the answers we need without waiting hours or days for an email response. Recently, my company built a new CRM and we have integrated Microsoft Teams with it so that communications relevant to an account can be tracked to Microsoft Dynamics with a couple taps or clicks. My company is rather large with over 5000 employees and it is only growing, and our vast network of teams around the US, Canada, and Europe need to be able to easily connect which is where Microsoft Teams comes in. It's as close to texting as it can be minus having your personal cell bombarded with work texts. Also, all of our calls occur over Microsoft Teams.

Pros

  • Integration with Copilot for meetings and communications
  • Connecting easily with the field (our general managers, assistant GMs, etc...)
  • File sharing & Outlook integration

Cons

  • Settings could be more user-friendly
  • The ability to manually sort chats
  • Automatic prep notes ahead of a call utilizing info from the Calendar event
  • We have been able to build an AI bot to handle insurance related tasks and increase compliance (estimated $1.7m in insurance payout savings annually)
  • Quicker answers = smoother operations for our customers
  • Processing OneDrive files & sharing efficiently and securely
I personally have not come across a comparable platform that does what Microsoft Teams does and I believe there are very few competitors that offer the integration and user-friendly features that Microsoft Teams provides. You don't need to have special training to successfully benefit from Microsoft Teams features. If you can text, you can Microsoft Teams chat. If you can make a phone call, you can make a Microsoft Teams call - I think that in itself grants the platform a 10/10 rating for me.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

It is best suited for quickly finding answers and tracking them to where they need to go. A scenario where it is less appropriate may be something like a credit application, and overall contacting customers/residents. While it offers enterprise level security, that is likely not end-to-end when communicating with someone external. Also, for large files, I think Outlook is much better suited. I would also like to see a "shared files/links" section similar to iMessage on Apple devices so that you don't need to search chats for answers.
