I have been using MindManager for years to plan my projects and perform critical thinking. It helps me organize my thoughts and brainstorm ideas. Keeping things organized is important when deciding on the viability of initiatives and new projects. I have been using mind maps for years now, as viewing projects from a visual standpoint has been proven to be more effective than a bulleted list per se.

Additionally, it has also helped us see things from a different perspective, which in turn helps us find new ways to solve problems. Brainstorming can help get everyone's ideas out into the open; this helps move the project forward and help us meet deadlines, etc.
