Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

It is being used by the entire accounting department (which is only 2 people). We use it for most accounting purposes (other than payroll, financial transparency, and utility billing and payments).
  • Reports: Very detailed and customizable.
  • Journal entries: Easy to enter multiples.
  • Interface is hard to work with.
  • Many items are hard to find and there is no search function.
  • I wasn't present when we switched to MIP but it works just fine for our needs so far.

Yes

I have had to call many times and it has always been helpful.
It is still a little clunky and requires some learning curve.
SAP had a huge learning curve, but it was more useful for a larger operation. Quickbooks is good for starting out with but not great long term. Xero is great for small businesses.
It is good for small local government applications but would be more difficult for larger operations.
