Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro in our department for workshops, planning, and building templates. We used to do this physically using Post-it notes / Excel spreadsheets, etc. but the pandemic forced us to restrategize to use a tool that is collaborative and live (so it feels like we are together physically).

Pros

  • Security features.
  • Great templates.
  • User friendly.

Cons

  • It's difficult to work out who can see what board from the team.
  • Security functionality could be more user-friendly.
  • It would be good to not have to add people to a team before adding to a board.
  • Reduction in time to do workshops.
  • Reduction in costs of purchasing workshop materials (Sharpies, Post-it notes, etc.)
  • Improved productivity.
The implementation was straightforward, Miro provides lots of videos/tips/tutorials and so most of my team have learned to use it by themselves without needing training.
Miro integrates with Teams and most Microsoft apps which is a great feature.
This has been the biggest benefit with Miro. It has allowed us to who work remotely to still get together and collaborate on work. Thank you, Miro!

I have not used / evaluated other products as Miro meets my needs.
Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), Microsoft Access
Miro is well suited for workshops, collaborative meetings, and even brainstorming/planning by yourself. However, if there are lots of people in the meeting then it's advised that a few people have control over the board rather than allowing all delegates to edit as it can get a bit busy otherwise.
