Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro has become the default app for knowledge sharing of modern software development. Used all across our organization, Miro helps us brainstorm ideas, plan deliveries, review software architecture, execute agile software rituals, and more, in an efficient and effective way. Utilising a tool that enables the wisdom of crowds to flourish, by engaging everyone to collaborate in real-time, enhances creativity and increases our chances of success, including everyone's ideas on subjects of importance. Miro is embedded with templates, iconography, and tools of feedback (like emotions, timers, or reactions) that enable our discussions to be made effortless and in an organized manner. Unsure of where to start? They have a training center and resources where you can explore new ideas on how to perform your workshops. Is an "all included" app that came to stay.
  • Easy to use.
  • Lots of "out of the box" tools.
  • Multi purpose templates.
  • Great learning resources.
  • Edit of items on display can become hard when many users are changing the content.
  • Creating templates for own usage, being able to copy for further meetings.
  • Automation tools like changing colors or checking boxes depending on time or other objects on display.
  • Quicker return of investment, by an increased overall understanding of the project goals and urgency of deliveries.
  • Increased our chances of project success by the inclusion of everyone's ideas.
Build for concurrent access to the canvas so that everyone can collaborate without interferences, with queues that allow to revert or reapply changes over time.
It takes a little time to understand what and how to do things in the canvas once Miro is opened. There are also starters step by step on how to proceed with the UI elements when using Miro for the first time.
While in our organization, we utilised tools for knowledge sharing before (Google Docs, draw.io, conference, swimlanes.io, Balsamiq, etc), Miro become the default application to go rapidly, due to its ease of use, versatility, and out of the box functionality.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro covers all the functionality that all the other products offer, in some cases even better. It's a one-stop shop.
Well Suited:
  • Brainstorming
  • Breaking the ice exercises
  • Software architecture reviews sessions
  • Software architecture diagram creation
  • Delivery planning
  • Agile methodology rituals sessions
  • Presentations
Less Appropriated:
  • Being used in meetings where visual contact with others is essential
  • Being used as preview in embedded documents, as the canvas can become too big
  • Creation of documents where versioning and history auditing is necessary
