Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for group ideation, planning system maps, and note-taking. At the beginning of each project, we sit and create a vision board, and write ideas with stickies allowing us to view them in one place. Making system maps is easy with the shape tools and arrows to easily communicate stocks, connections flow, etc. I like being able to see the group members who are present along with what they are currently viewing on the dashboard.
  • Variety- creating different tools, options, shapes arrows to be as concise as possible.
  • User presence- seeing where each person is clicking, moving and viewing.
  • Templates- easy to use and curated templates that save time when ideating.
  • When you expand a shape with text in it, I wish there was an option to expand the size of the type along with it.
  • I would like to be able to select a group of objects when I click and drag my cursor.
  • I would like to be able to connect an arrow from a group of objects rather than each individual object.
  • Reduced project completion time
  • Digital experience reduced printing costs
  • Improved productivity
  • Simplified group work
The simple interface is less confusing and threatening to group members without design software knowledge, allowing for ease of use and a faster familiarity with the program. Having one place online to manage large idea boards saves physical space, printing costs, and even space on the computer without downloading large file software.
Tools are simple and self-explanatory. The interface is intuitive and somewhat similar to different software without the same complexity. This allows users with less experience to use the website in a matter of minutes without heavy explanation. It's also easy for everyone to access by connecting group members and being able to access the tool through your browser rather than having different files and software.
I am able to connect and ideate with group members from anywhere in the world. I currently work with two colleagues currently in the UK and Italy. We can work on our current project at any time and collaborate with different sources.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro has less visually creative capabilities than Figma and Illustrator but does not require software and is simpler for less software savvy users in comparison. Illustrator does not allow multiple users and live collaboration.
Miro is great for ideating in a group setting. In a current project, we have been able to create a historical timeline very quickly using shapes, lines, and text. We also used those tools and objects to create a system map. The variation of colours, strokes, arrows, and lines allowed us to make diagrams with distinct elements. Documents and paragraphs of text can also be put into frames to view alongside our visual ideation to keep briefs and copies together in the dashboard. Miro is less appropriate for designing thorough projects that involve animation, complex vectors, and type treatment.
