Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Leveraged tool in prep to review product. Serving as a visual aid for cross-functional team. Previously, we were faced with limitations while working remotely due to Covid. Miro helped to solve this issue by providing a platform that can be easily shared to collaborate. Usage is continuously evolving but at the moment a place utilized for weekly product review and gathering feedback/ideas to reference.

Pros

  • User interface.
  • Great selection in organization.
  • Shareability.

Cons

  • Improvement in loading.
  • More options/flexibility to favorites.
  • Allowing subproject folders.
  • Improvement in productivity.
  • Improvement in engagement.
  • Improvement in accessibility.
At first it was challenging to learn the features and get the team aboard. And, feel a learning curve exists in any new platform introduced. The usage continues to involve esp. as working remotely has encouraged us to think outside the box on ways to improve our workflow. Persistence is key in mastering a new tool.
A learning curve always exists integrating a new tool. Especially more difficult for those lacking the flexibility to adapt to new user interface. Easing accessibility is something that can be reviewed and improved on.
Teams became more efficient in sharing work cross-functionally. Giving visibility to counter partners to improve workflow. We continue to identify opportunities something Miro has allowed us to address.

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Features are great for cross-functional projects (gather notes). Long-term use and lack of subfolders feature can create clutter - something we are facing now. For example, every Department has its own project. In a single year we want to break the timeline into quarters. Within those 3 months - we have 4 major milestones. This would create 16 boards in a single project, that's not including pre-work boards created. If we keep multiple years it will become too cluttered.
