Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Used it to facilitate virtual workshops focused on ideation of new business ideas.

Pros

  • Easy for new users to set up account and join
  • Simple and easy user interface

Cons

  • Background music feature with the existing timer (for individual activities during a workshop). Maybe in partnership with Spotify?
  • A "facilitator view" that shows the agenda, activities, assigned facilitators, times, etc. Think about the PPT Presenter View but for a Workshop.
  • Some way to assign/lock stickie colors for participants, so I can visually see who is contributing with what without the risk of a participant using the wrong color by mistake.
  • Facilitated collaboration and alignment between many people of a large team.
Implementation was easy. But I think features like timer, voting etc. should be available in the free tier as well.
I didn't integrate Miro with any other tool.
Yes, it supported a large team distributed in many different cities to successfully collaborate throughout a complex project.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

No

I think Miro is superior than MURAL in terms of the features it offers. But in my experience MURAL is easier for new folks to learn than Miro.
In my opinion, I would recommend it to a colleague who is seeking collaborative sessions, like workshops, retros, etc. But I wouldn't recommend it as a planning tool for things like product roadmap and backlog etc.
