Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I am using Miro with my internal Team and Clients as a collaborative visual tool – much like a digital whiteboard where we can use sticky notes, paste any graphics, jot down ideas and decide or vote on strategies or topics. Since everyone works from different locations, Miro is the closest we've gotten to conduct interactive and playful, yet efficient brainstorming meetings or sprint retrospectives.
Pros
- Flexible Canvas: to lay out visuals and text
- "Multiplayer" Mode: See all participant's cursors live on the canvas
- Interactive Tools: E.g. select items on the canvas to vote for favorites
- Clean interface: Large icons and intuitive tools
Cons
- Branding/Theming: When Miro is used by companies that want to reflect their branding in Miro's interface and canvas content (e.g. Icon-Set, ..), some extended theming options would come in handy
- Improved connection with productivity tools, e.g. Jira
- Import from FigJam
- Improved meeting efficiency
- Adds fun to collaboration
- Supports Scrum workflow
My team is based in many different locations, and rarely has the opportunity to come together in person in front of a real whiteboard, so Miro has been the best replacement for the real-life meeting room and whiteboard. Content is available for everyone to revisit later, or for people who missed the meeting.
