Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is my go to tool for creating diagrams. I create diagrams regularly to help convey an idea or present a design. Miro allows for super easy creation of diagrams and easy sharing to anyone in my organization, with the ability to easily specify the level of access I want others to have.

Pros

  • Automatic saving and cloud storage
  • Access across multiple devices
  • Organization of diagrams into boards and teams
  • Ability to easily import icons or other graphics
  • The use of frames to define sections of a diagram
  • Exporting of images

Cons

  • Integration of note keeping features like Evernote would be a good pairing
  • More font options, text size options, and text placement options
  • More presentation like features, i.e. playing through boards in presentation mode
  • Miro has contributed to better designs through ease of communicating ideas and getting feedback. This has had a long term positive effect on our productivity and sustainability.
  • Miro makes diagramming faster and easier to share, reducing the time required to produce and share this information, allowing more time to focus on other activities.
  • Miro is more fun and easier to use, improving work enjoyment.
I did not integrate with other products
Miro has been incredibly useful for remote collaboration. We have used it as a tool during meetings to collaborate on a scrum retrospective or simply to all view a diagram and make changes together. Remote collaboration is one of the top features of this tool and it works seamlessly.

Miro is the only one to make remote collaboration easy. Miro is also significantly faster and easier to use compared to the other options. It's honestly not even close, Miro is simply way better than any other option I've come across.
Miro is by far the best tool I've experienced for diagramming. It is ideal for helping communicate an idea and also for collaborating on an idea, as it seamlessly integrates collaboration with others in real time. It is the fastest tool to use to put together an idea quickly and sharing that idea across an organization.

It is not a great tool for a long term knowledge base repository like Confluence. Diagrams are often lost to history if not kept as links in other documents.
