Great tool to collaborate in online and hybrid workshops and meetings
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I started using the platform with the team during Covid for remote workshops and collaboration. But even now that we have gone back to more physical meetings again, we keep using it as a good way to run workshops (in a hybrid setting) and create interactivity during the session. Advantage of the tool is that participants don't need to register to join and everyone is actively sharing, not only the people that would typically take the floor in physical meetings.
Pros
- Ease of use for first time users
- Sharing a public link to participate without registering
- Large set of templates (prefilled or not) with content
Cons
- Drawing tools are sometimes basic
- Need for larger image library to insert standard icons, ...
- Improved interactivity in work sessions, actively involving all participants
- Better time management through online collaboration instead of long verbal discussions
Miro is used beyond the typical use for remote workers. Because of the advantages to structure the workshop and low barrier to participate as e.g. post-it's can be added anonymously we have kept using the platform even in our current setup where most people meet again physically. For me it replaced the physical whiteboard
