Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for brainstorming, mapping, and general storytelling. It's a great tool because it helps me align and collaborate with my team, as well as our overall product organization. One of the business problems is that we started to become a hybrid remote workforce, so we needed a tool that could allow us to flexibly work together in a visual space. Miro improves our remote working collaboration and makes it much easier to communicate complex information.
Pros
- extremely flexible in creating maps
- the space is "endless" -- can zoom in and out to add as much info as needed
- joint collaboration with your team: ability to call with video, set timers for meetings, see where everyone is on the board
- easy to make changes on the spot
Cons
- there is no functionality to create a table!
- I wish Miro had more suggested formats to use, or demos of how to use their existing formats. Its a bit tiring to come up with everything from scratch each time
- improved team productivity and clarity
Miro has been very important in helping our company transition into a remote company. We can now work asynchronously much easier with a visual tool like Miro. It is flexible to suit a variety of needs and easy to get started using. I think the main drawback of Miro is that most boards are built in a way that can't be digested independently; typically you would require context or a meeting. This could probably be improved.
