Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to set up workshops and create user journeys and sitemaps. Miro helps our team seamlessly collaborate together in a more virtual world. The ability to share a live file with a team member and get immediate feedback is one of the best features of Miro. I personally use Miro on a more sparing basis and rather receive files from other team members to take information from and roll it out in my own work.

Pros

  • allowing for a huge library of ready made chart components.
  • Creating a seamless environment for team integration - specifically with the newer ability to have a video call within Miro.
  • Adding elements of fun along the way, like the tones when a timer runs out, stickers, or the ability to react to things.

Cons

  • Miro could accept editable SVG image formats (this will help reduce load speed).
  • Please add a master "unlock all" button that unlocks all elements on the page/board instead of having to go to every instance to unlock it.
  • Needs the ability to minimize the videos when on a call with team mates so that it doesn't take up so much space.
  • Improved productivity by facilitating collaboration within our team.
  • Cuts down the time of creating separate presentations/boards that go to client.
Miro's team collaboration features have created a fun environment for the team to work in. It really creates a collaborative office atmosphere from the comfort of your home. Our team can joke and play around a bit in Miro between the more serious side of things which is always a win for team camaraderie. We have also been able to work with more global members of our team and seamlessly bring clients into our files to present the work.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

While all the other programs that I use are more design-focused, a user can just as easily create the diagrams and outputs you would create in Miro. However, Miro is a more streamlined program that caters to users that are less designed and focused and are more worried about presenting their information in the correct way. The presets and templates you can find in Miro are a life-saver! It knocks off so much time in the setup of a file and keeping a consistent design language when collaborating with others.
Miro is well suited for planning work/product flows and hosting workshops. It's also a great space to collaborate with your team remotely. A less appropriate scenario would be when you need to be more specific in design, as placing and arranging elements is not always easily controllable.
