Overall Satisfaction with Miro

OutSystems is a low-code platform. I am working in the research department as a machine learning researcher. We use Miro every time we need something visual. Quarter plannings, sprint plannings, and sprint retrospectives are all done using Miro boards. Miro became even more critical once we became remote employees. Exposing anything visually with Miro is simple and effective. The timer and the voting features are very frequently used by our team, which made our discussions, decisions, and presentations clearer and more efficient.

Pros

  • Manipulating objects is easy, even if one is just using the touchpad
  • The option to follow someone's mouse makes Miro a great presentation tool (I don't remember the last time we used actual slides)
  • Polls are possible in any kind of objects
  • Timers have been vital in our team's meetings

Cons

  • I never understood exactly why, but Miro's dashboard page is not clear enough, I find it hard to find the dashboard I need
  • Heavy dashboards are slow to load
  • Improved our meetings efficiency
  • Made our communication clearer
  • Made our documentation more readable
  • Made our decisions more easily accessed
(I have never integrated Miro with any other product)
Miro’s online whiteboard helps unite teams with remote workers or multiple locations.
That's absolutely right. Since exposing and presenting any idea becomes easier with Miro, following someone's chain of thought, listening and understanding the other side has also become simpler.

New projects are particularly challenging, there's always so much information someone can absorb. Using a Miro dashboard means that all the puzzle pieces of a project can be visually organized. Miro boards are useful during a project's presentation and act as further documentation.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The closest products to Miro I have ever used are still very distant. Google Slides and Dragonboat are very different products that target very different use cases. In any case, we have been replacing them with Miro boards.
Miro is great to support meetings. Especially for video call meetings, even if there's only one remote member. Exposing ideas in Miro is easy, sometimes easier than using standard presentation slides. Our team is also using Miro dashboards every time we discuss topics that require a team decision: the poll and timer features have been vital.
