Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro has been a valuable tool for collaboration, both internally and with clients. The variety of tools is far superior to PowerPoint and the ability to have multiple users actively involved at the same time provides a truly collaborative experience. The addition of new shapes has expanded the flexibility quite a bit, allowing for more detailed organization of content and ideas. The line segments have some limitations and the tool takes some getting used to, but once you're familiar, it becomes a great way for teams to collaborate and brainstorm. This is especially true when remote collaboration is essential.
Pros
- Brainstorm organization
- Collaborative mind mapping
- Concept organization
Cons
- The line joining at times is problematic
- Selecting shapes can be challenging when there are multiple layers
- Not as good at creating true flows as Visio but better for collaborative organization
- During the pandemic, it gave us a new tool to remotely brainstorm
- Provides a tool that seamlessly allows multiple people to work together simultaneously
- Offers a number of tools within the app to handle a variety of needs for different teams
We've used it mostly in our strategy department, but we've also utilized it for company-wide education efforts. In the former, Miro has proved to be a valuable tool because we can collaborate over time and put ideas together in ways that allow us to organize high-level strategic imperatives and tactical elements. For the latter, it provided a universal platform for a wide number of people to interact and offer their thoughts simultaneously and allowed for those thoughts to be quickly organized.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
Yes
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
While flows are easier to do in Visio, there isn't a truly good collaborative experience available to use. So Miro has been the best way to collaborate, brainstorm and organize across teams (and clients) in a way that allows everyone to feel like they're in the room during a brainstorming/whiteboarding/post it working session.
