Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for sprint retrospectives and reviews. Before Miro, the team would use spreadsheets that didn't promote cooperation and were not motivating members of the team to express opinions within those ceremonies. Now with Miro, the coop process has improved considerably, especially on a remote hybrid model type of team. During these ceremonies, we use Miro to set up a "stick it" board where the team can express what things went well during the sprint, what didn't go well, how we can improve the process, and possible actions that might come out of these. We also use the voting functionality to state the parts we should discuss with a higher priority. Timers also help us with time management so we won't run over the call scheduled time frame.

The one complaint I have from Miro is the page scrolling and zooming functionality. The scroll bars are wait too thin to use, and using the mouse wheel and/or the laptop touchpad some times can be challenging and frustrating. The "natural" thing to do, being used to how other frameworks work, is to either use the scroll bars of click and drag in order to browse the page when you are zoomed in. But there is sometimes confusion on which key to press in order to drag the whole page in a direction. The answer to that is the right button, but it took me a while to get used to it, and until I actually did, sometimes I was highlighting and moving objects on the screen instead. An improvement on that could be to provide the users with a list of possible ways to scroll, and they can choose the ones of their liking.
It has positively improved it. Half of the team is remote, and the platform provides everything needed for a hybrid model team. It helps us timebox the meetings it is used on, or every phase of the meeting, with the usage of the very helpful timers. Visual representations are also very useful, as long as the voting functionality on the stick points. Not sure if it exists, but also having poker-style voting would have been a great plus on that matter.

We haven't really used a lot of similar products for the same usage. We went from spreadsheets to Miro, and there is really no comparison on the flexibility it provides. Miro excels in every aspect. We also tried to use Jira for the same usage in the past but, while it was serving the purpose to the best of its ability, Jira is not specialized to provide the freedom and functions that Miro provides.
We have been using it for sprint retrospective ceremonies, and it is ideal for that. We haven't really used it in another scenario yet so it is difficult to predict which ones will be less appropriate. It is a pretty powerful but simple tool. I am aware that it also has a Jira implementation that we haven't used yet as a team.
