Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We had always used Miro to enhance collaboration for online meetings but really leaned into it in 2020 with the shift to work from home. We use Miro for problem solving sessions, a book club, brainstorming, planning of software development, prototyping new ideas, and more.

Pros

  • Build engagement
  • Increase collaboration
  • make meetings more productive and inclusive

Cons

  • Loading on very large boards can be slow, would like to see a more automated way to archive older sections
  • Sometimes tricky to find specific boards if they haven't been favorited, find the board menu-structure not intuitive
  • Saved tens of thousands of dollars by enabling the teams to collaborate more quickly and easily via remote meetings versus doing the same activities without Miro or traveling to a central location.
Miro has greatly improved collaboration and expedited new product development processes.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Jira Software, Tempo Timesheets - Time Tracking & Reports, Figma
We have really built our new product development processes around Miro, to the extent that we create the user stories in Jira based on what has been documented in Miro. It's really good in mid-size meetings as I find it easier to get engagement from team members who are normally more quiet, and the ability to see what everyone is doing real-time rather than just watch one person's screen.

Using Miro

  • problem solving exercises
  • prototype iterations
  • new product development processes
  • built new process and used Miro to spec and design new product in less than six weeks
  • the more we make it a habit the more we seem to get out of it

Using Miro

I find it extremely intuitive and easy to use. I have had no formal training, but I feel like I have just scratched the surface in terms of functionality even after using it for a few years. You can do so much in Miro quickly with a very small learning curve.

Yes - I have only used the mobile app a few times but was pleased to see that it basically replicated the UI seen on my laptop, and with single sign on I was quickly and easily able to see my boards and teams and collaborate on our projects while on the go.
