Overall Satisfaction with Miro
As part of a digital transformation consultancy, Miro is my go-to tool for easy collaboration with clients and project team members. I use Miro to facilitate interactive workshops with clients for goals and vision setting, product discovery, requirements gathering, design thinking, research synthesis, process flow mapping, feature prioritization exercises, and team retrospectives. I appreciate that the tool is easy for my clients to learn, contribute and come together to create a shared understanding of the problems we are working to solve.
Pros
- Simple interfaces and tools make it easy for beginners to collaborate on a board.
- Smart integration with other tools & platforms.
- Lots of pre-made templates to get started quickly.
Cons
- Adding Team Members and Sharing Boards. It's often unclear if a user needs to create an account to access all boards if they are on a team. We still see people struggle to join a board when they've been added as members.
- Better wireframing set of shapes for quick ideation.
- Offline working mode.
- Improves efficiency for kicking off product discovery with clients.
- Fosters collaboration and ideation between cross-functional team members.
- Reduces the time spent on goal alignment with large product teams.
Miro is a critical online tool to replace in-person conference room huddles around a giant whiteboard. Visual communication allows us to 'pen to paper' to share and discuss with one another in real time. Additionally, boards can be contributed individually and shared before or after meetings for communication and feedback. You can't pass around a whiteboard that lives in a conference room. Well-organized and maintained boards can serve as living, breathing sources of product information for teams.
