Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for a variety of reasons, including audience segmentation, user experience mapping, and content creation process mapping.
Pros
- Allows multiple users to add notes & images - like a virtual whiteboard.
- Allows easy & flexible space use - good for mapping processes - everything doesn't have to be in a grid. You can add notes, arrows, images, and blocks of text anywhere and move them easily. You can also overlap items. It feels very "hands-on" for a digital space.
- Enables color coding & easy use of elements like arrows and empty boxes. Really great for grouping notes.
Cons
- It feels like it's made for Mac users or users with stylus pens. The keyboard & mouse is a secondary method for use, so I'm often having to re-think how I click & move about the space. It's usually a right click when you think it should be a left click, etc.
- The zoom feature can be confusing. Sometimes I don't know if another part of the board even exists because it defaults to full zoomed-in.
- It's secure but, therefore, not easily shareable. I often have access to a board that I want to share with a teammate, but can't. And it feels unnecessarily hard to get permission to share.
- It has improved our employee events by better enabling the planning committee to learn from previous events.
SUPER helpful. It's a great way for multi-state virtual team members to collaborate on projects, brainstorm, plan, and debrief after projects. Really love it for this reason.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
Yes
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
Much more robust than Microsoft Teams. More sophisticated, has more features, and is less glitchy when multiple users are using it at once.
