Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro in a variety of ways: journey mapping, workshop facilitating, project planning, collaborating, etc. The software addresses the need for collaborating cross-functionally at the same time. It is a powerful whiteboarding tool that allows multiple hands to be in the same bucket, working at the same time.

Pros

  • Whiteboarding
  • Workshops
  • Templating
  • Collaborating

Cons

  • Exporting work from the platform.
  • Loading Times for large pieces of work.
  • Improved Collaboration.
  • Decreased Silos.
  • Sped up deliverable timelines.
Our team is entirely remote. Without whiteboarding tools, like Miro, it would make our work much more difficult, and less collaborative. Other software, like Microsoft Powerpoint, for example, will allow multiple users to work together on the same project, but it can be difficult to see the live changes or follow along with the person making changes. Miro solves for that.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro and MURAL are VERY Similar. From their name to the type of things they do, it can be difficult to distinguish between the two. The biggest difference I've seen is that MURAL works more on a grid-based format, whereas Miro is more free-flowing. Fig Jam is more restrictive than Miro and can be more difficult to learn. Lucidspark and Lucidchart have fewer collaboration capabilities when compared to Miro.
Miro is well-suited for developing journey maps and facilitating team workshops. Miro is less appropriate for presenting work.
